National Parks

Zion

Zion

Zion National Park is one of nature’s greatest wonders. Gigantic red and white rock monoliths tower around you like a skyscraper city of stone, concealing pockets of abundant flora and fauna. See the Great White Throne, Angel’s Landing, the Court of the Patriarchs, and the Narrows where the Virgin River has carved out a narrow canyon with 2,000-foot cliffs on each side.

Bryce Canyon

Bryce Canyon

Bryce Canyon National Park: An alpine forest with as many red rock hoodoos as trees. At dawn and dusk, mule deer graze the forested plateau along the road into Bryce Canyon. The alpine environment is home to dozens of species of mammals and birds, all acquainted with a spectacular truth: this is no ordinary forest. Water and wind over millions of years of freezes and thaws, have carved into the plateau endless fields of distinctive red rock pillars, called hoodoos, as well as into the park’s series of natural amphitheaters. And because Bryce Canyon National Park is at an elevation of 8,000 to 9,000 feet.

Capitol Reef

Capitol Reef

Capitol Reef National Park: Like Arches National Park, you thoroughly enjoy visiting this park wither by taking a drive, thanks to 2 scenic roads (UT-24 and Capitol Reef Scenic Drive). Drive the scenic drive past the Fruita district to get pretty views. Back at the visitor center, ask the rangers if any of the orchards are open so you can try the fruit. And don’t leave without stopping at the Gifford House to get some of the best pies around!

Arches

Arches

Arches National Park: The arches of the park are true wonders beyond comparison and will leave you awed and amazed that these stone structures are still standing. We will take a walk up to the famous Landscape Arch, one of the longest spans of any arch in the world. Additional sites visited include the Windows Section where more than 9 arches are laid out for your view, Balanced Rock, Park Avenue, and the Delicate Arch viewpoint. As home to some of the most famous natural formations in the world, the park will have you reaching for your camera at every stop. Explore can’t-miss photo op’s, when conditions are best, and much more. After the sun sets and the sandstone has cooled you can see countless stars set against a pitch black night sky. See the night sky like you may never have before after dark in Arches National Park.

Canyonlands

Canyonlands

Canyonlands National Park: Imagine endless deep canyons, towering mesas, pinnacles, cliffs, and spires stretching across 527 square miles. This is Canyonlands National Park, formed by the currents and tributaries of Utah’s Green and Colorado rivers. Canyonlands is home to many different types of travel experiences, from sublime solitude in the more remote stretches of the park to moderate hikes through the Needles district to the opportunity to create your own version of one of the West’s most photographed landforms, Mesa Arch. Do yourself a favor and don’t hurry through the park. Instead, take your time and let the nature of the Canyonlands sneak up on you and take root in your heart. It’s quite likely you’ll become so attached to the place that you’ll have to return again and again and again.
