About 35 cars showed up for this event to raise funds for the Free Clinic in Simi Valley. We had three registered: Mel Jacobson, Steve Friedman, and Steve Johnson. No trophy winners from that group, but five other cars did garner well-deserved awards. Unfortunately, it appears that we neglected to memorialize the event by taking any photographs. In lieu of photos, let me try to describe the day:
35 cars – many different colors and models
most parked on grass, some on hills
grass was sort of green, with trees overhead that dropped small pieces of “stuff” all over the cars
the winning car was a yellow truck, then a black ’57 Chevy, and after that I frankly forget
Fortunately there was plenty of free water since it had to be over 100 in the sun.
