The car show in Johnny Carson Park, Burbank to support the John Burroughs High School Football program was a success again. Since it costs $1,000 per player to outfit them each year, this show is one of their primary fundraisers. The Band, Rio Bravo, was excellent. It didn’t hurt that they specialized in 60s and 70s Rock. John, Mel, and Steve met at the Park and Ride at 6:30 AM, and headed to the show in Burbank. We were NOT the first ones to arrive at the show! Mel and Steve both got 2nd place trophies in their class. Additionally, three other friends received plaques. All in all, a good day. The sun came out about 1:30.
